a timeline

I've been thinking about my novel. That's about all I've been doing with it, thanks to my wrist! But I think I've sorted out a decent timeline that I can stick with. A month and a half to edit. Mid-June through mid-July for my readers to take one more stab at it for me, during which I'll work on my submission letter and write a short story. Then another month and a half of editing. And then, come September, it's submitting time. I think it's doable. What do you all think?
In other news, I think something big is about to go down at work. I don't want to discuss, because I don't want to jinx it, but my fingers are crossed!
Movies I want to see this month: Wolverine, Star Trek, and Terminator. They all just look wicked good to me.
I signed up for bookmooch. Goddess help me, I think it could be really dangerous!
Also, I may not ever get around to finishing The Floating Book. I know I said I would. But I keep looking at it and then picking up something else. I don't know. The writing is lovely, absolutely, but the characters just didn't really draw me in. I guess I should put it in the discard pile.
One last thing. This summer/fall, I want to do some of that serious brainstorming for a good series concept that I can really get behind. Fantasy, possibly. But not epic fantasy. Something along the lines of urban fantasy or mythic fiction would be more my speed for a series, I think. Any thoughts out there in the ether from you guys? Things to avoid, things to consider?
More blogging soon. For now, it's time to get ready to head home.
