Beltane

Happy Beltane, everyone! Beltane is a holiday of fertility and celebration as we look forward to the long summer days and the abundant harvest to come. It is one of the two times of the year when the veil between the worlds is thinnest (the other being Samhain) so it is easier for the spirits to enter our world, and vice versa. Because of this, it is traditional to leave out food and drink for the fey folk who may pass by your door. In the myth cycle of the God and the Goddess, Beltane is when the God impregnates the Goddess. Essentially, today is a day to celebrate life and love however you feel appropriate! I'll be celebrating later with a good dinner followed by mead, wine, and ritual.
