Anyway. I got a new phone today from T-Mobile. And now I can text again! Hurrah! Also neat is that my new phone is ecologically friendly; the casing is made from recycled water bottles. How cool is that? I'm happy with it.
I'm also quite happy that it is now, officially, the weekend. I've had a bit of a rough week; sometimes I get tired of my workaholic lifestyle and just want to throw it all out the window! I don't, of course. That'd be pretty irresponsible. But you all know that feeling. So I am determined to do a couple of things for myself this weekend. Do something, anything, to further my apartment. Do some writing. Exercise both days. See my friends Leigh Anna and Andy tomorrow. And sleep a lot. I think it's a good plan. Anybody have anything exciting/interesting going on over the next couple of days?
In the interest of getting some writing done this year, and being constructive about inching closer to that as a career, I've made a list of writing goals for 2009. Here it is:
- finish Nor
- submit Nor to agents
- write "The Blessing of the Winter Queen" (short)
- critique my friend Leigh Anna's novel
- make a dent in my cheesy superhero project
- figure out the Anna Lucia Cross story, and at least start it
- outline a series concept and three books for it
- write two other short stories
And now, of into the wild blue yonder of the weekend, new phone in hand, story ideas firmly in mind! Ta!
