Last night I went to a party to celebrate the success of Amanda Palmer's Kickstarter campaign to support her new album. It was in a parking lot hidden behind a home furnishing store. There were stiltwalkers, and pirates, and fairies, and musicians, and firedancers. There was a structure with clear plastic walls that was filled with pieces of paper with names written on them; people were plastering the pieces of papers to the plastic walls. The names of the Kickstarter supporters, perhaps? There was a countdown to midnight, and a pinata, and a very happy Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman, and a whole lot of fans who were very excited to celebrate. And we got to hear the new album.
It's good. It's really good.
So here I am at work, tired but happy on a Friday morning. I've got a cup of coffee to drink and a scone to eat, and a lot of work to do. Blessed Be, everybody. I hope you have a glorious weekend.
